The Old Nursery
Powys
The Old Nursery is a thoroughly equipped converted farmhouse on a working farm in a small Brecon Beacons village. Renovated to a high standard, it sleeps six across three bedrooms and one bathroom, with a ground-floor double, two further doubles upstairs (one a twin), and a shower room. The separate toilet on the ground floor offers practical convenience for a larger group.
The kitchen comes with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and two fridge-freezers—everything needed to cook proper meals rather than make do. The living room has Freeview Smart TV. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with a welcome pack. Out back, a garden with seating and furniture overlooks the farm. Private parking fits two cars. The property is non-smoking.
Location matters here: walks start from the doorstep, a food-serving pub is within reach on foot, and Sennybridge village has shops and restaurants nearby. Brecon town, nine miles away, holds galleries, cafés and the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh. The Brecon Beacons National Park is an International Dark Sky Reserve—worthwhile if you're interested in stargazing. Pen Y Fan, the highest peak, lies nine miles south. Cardiff and Swansea are each roughly 45 minutes by car; the Dan yr Ogof caves are accessible via the A4067 in the upper Swansea valley.
