Talybont-on-Usk sits deep in the Brecon Beacons, where the landscape opens into moorland and the Monmouthshire canal runs alongside quiet country lanes. Ty Afon is an end-terraced house recently renovated to accommodate eight guests across four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The property is yours alone, with private parking on site and a rear garden where you can sit out or gather around a firepit.
The ground floor spreads across a living room with a wood burner and smart TV, a separate sitting room, a dining room, and a kitchen fitted with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances. There's also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus two separate toilets. Upstairs, a double bedroom comes with an en-suite shower room; two further bedrooms hold single beds each; and a family bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower. The top floor offers another double bedroom and its own shower room. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with initial logs for the burner. A travel cot, high chair, stairgate and fireguard are available if needed.
Walking and cycling start from the door—the canal path is immediate, and Talybont Reservoir lies two miles away. Pen Y Fan, the area's highest peak, draws more ambitious hikers. The Brecon Beacons are designated for dark skies, and the historic town of Brecon, five miles off, has restaurants, galleries and the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh. No smoking inside.
