Peacock cottage, we booked this for one night as a last minute stopover after visiting the four waterfalls trail. Located 40 mins a scenic drive to the property which is located on Coity back farm. We were a group of 8, 5 adults 3 children. The cottage it self is part of multiple properties on the farm, very quirky and surrounded by rolling hills, beautiful views and some beautiful animals that kept our kids entertained, the hosts were amazing and very accommodating and helpful. The property is an aged cottage so don’t expect a new build perfectly straight and plumb property but amazing value for money, has everything you need plus more, and will definitely come and stay again

Peacock Cottage sat in an authentic farm, rough and rugged, just as you would expect. The Cottage itself is in need of some maintenance and a fresh lick of paint and maybe a new oven. Three rooms, with one double bed and the other two rooms with two single beds. The frontroom and kitchen space is open plan and spacious enough but the kitchen area is tiny. A nice spacious landing, but definitely needs a blind for the window/door at the top of the stairs. At an extra cost you can take dogs, they have a large patio area at the front of the house but you will need to keep an eye on your dogs, especially if you have a hound who likes to explore. The hottub was lush but still had sand or grit in it and was a little grimey around the filter housing cover. We expected that the hottub wasn't cleaned after the last guests, but we don't know that for sure. We paid alot of money for a one night stay and my husband and myself don't feel it was worth the money. Ceri was a lovely lady and did her best to help us. We arrived to a cold house, broken curtain rail, broken towel rail and a light fixing hanging off (this we notified the landlord of, as didn't want the blame) no salt and pepper, the condiments didn't look refilled, as didn't have any popular ketchup, among the mayo and vinegar and no milk sachets. The fact that this Cottage comes with the opportunity to purchase their fresh produce from their farm, was exciting and we jumped on the opportunity, but sadly the fridge froze our fresh platter and we couldn't enjoy the breakfast fully. The sausages were epic and Ceri gave us a pack of 6 eggs to make up for the fridge being set too high. Check the fridge and definitely give their fresh platter a try. On washing up after ourselves, there was no sponge. When on holiday, you seek ease, such a simple thing but sadly wasn't there. There was also a gentleman that looked at the heating and delivered our fresh breakfast platter - just wanted to say he was absolutely lovely. The view from this property was breath taking. Sorry I couldn't give more stars, but this property and standards definitely needs to improve for the amount we paid. Has soooo much potential and I'm sure you guys will get on top of it. Thank you for allowing us to stay. Stacey

Stopped 1 night to breakup the journey home and it was a highlight of holiday. Beautiful views, lots of room for my large family, table chairs to eat outside and enjoy the location, hot tub, nice shower etc. We arrived without any food for the evening and bought fresh produce from Coity Bach farm for our evening meal burgers, sausages, eggs etc. Kids loved watching the peacock. Ceri brought the tortoise round to show the kids. Looking forward to returning.
