Have been camping here for a couple of years now and it's easily one of the best campsites in the UK. The whole team are super friendly, helpful and the onsite wardens are lovely. The whole place is relaxed and very well looked after. The pitches are what make it special. Proper secluded woodland spots, all nicely spaced out and surrounded by trees so you feel tucked away in nature rather than on top of other campers. There are great walks straight from the site too, including a really nice one through the woods to a pub. Facilities are spot on. Flushing toilets at the reception end (always very clean) and the bucket showers are genuinely great — hot, simple, and do the job perfectly. Battle is only 10 minutes away if you need supplies - good pubs, an antique store, a butcher and some local shops. Great for adults and kids. Just a brilliant place to camp and swithc off, we keep coming back.

We stayed at this campsite during Spring Break and we loved it! Quiet, restful, spacious, bucket showers under open skies (warm water mind you), fire pits and grilling allowed (the only way to camp!). I have no complaints, even the compost toilets were pleasant, and thats a lot to say. Birds will wake you between 4 and 5am so be prepared, there is an orchestra going pretty much all day/night. THERE IS NO WIFI, which is amazing! If you need connectivity, in the carpark and a bit down the road from Reception you will get...1 bar of signal, for ordering food online. We ordered from a nearby restaurant and that pizza was da bomb and delivered quick too. Supplies at Reception can run low since it is small so buy up when you have the chance. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and they carry grills, logs, starters and bayonet type gas cannisters for Campingaz stove types (CP 250 model of Campingaz). No cars on site allowed, so this site is safe for kids. There are loads of wheelbarrows for moving equipment from your car to your pitch, and every pitch is just beautiful, beech trees and silver birch everywhere. All facilities are clean and cared for. The only downside to this site is not their fault. We don't have a car and rely on taxis to move from the town to the site, which is a long walk (90 minutes) if you cant get a cab. So moving between was hard, since cabs are few and far in between. Only one cab driver ever answered our calls, Sarajuddin from Station Taxi Battle. Thanks Sarajuddin! So sit back once you have set up your tent and sleeping bags and enjoy the sound of birds chirping, sunset view from within a Birch Forest, the sound of the campfire cracking and silence. Pure bliss!

The best site I've ever stayed at. The bucket shower was warm... and so cool being under the sky and trees. The facilities were spotlessly clean. The woods are beautiful and peaceful with lovely views and walks. The whole place is very well maintained with nice lil touches here and there. Joe and Leanne were super lovely and helpful. Can't wait to go back 🙏🏽

We have camped at the Beech Estate 3 years in a row now and it is truly wonderful. So incredibly peaceful, the scenery is stunning and we love the bucket showers they are such fun. We are booked in again for this summer and we can't wait. Would highly recommend this campsite.
