About Adamton Country House

Adamton Country House is a substantial two-storey property set back on Baird Road in Prestwick, with the kind of scale you don't expect from a country house name: 265 rooms spread across its grounds, along with a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for guests who want to make use of the quieter surroundings. It's built for volume rather than boutique intimacy, but that keeps prices accessible, ranging from GBP 35 to 220 depending on room and season.

Rooms include family and accessible options, all en-suite, with drinks available in room and a lift serving the building. There's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast is served, and kids' meals are catered for, though some guests have found the food underwhelming and served cold rather than fresh. Rooms themselves can show their age in places, though the showers are a consistent strong point. A games room, kitchen facilities, and meeting rooms round out the practical side, useful for both leisure stays and business visits.

Staff are frequently singled out as friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is a peaceful one, away from the bustle of central Prestwick. Golf courses, pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all nearby, and the hotel offers free on-site parking, with registration at reception avoiding any parking penalties. Pets are welcome throughout.

Nice location close to the airport and a certain HMS military base. Hush hush. Parking is quite an issue if booked on a busy weekend. Check-in can be done at 2230, and there's always someone available to assist. In the current climate where businesses are not fully supported, we hope that the cuts in VAT, the Commonwealth Games, and so on might help boost the hotels, including Britannia resorts and other businesses. Quite happy with services thus far; feels secure; staff are hardworking and willing to assist; rooms are quite clean and decent. There are billiards and other activities to keep you busy. Would I like to visit in the next few weeks, months, or days? Yes, but with some caveats like probably a bigger TV screen with some sports channels, just joking 😆. I had a good time, and it was worth the pound. Looking forward to next visit and maybe electric car charging bays. Hint, hint, and then charge the customers or make them free chargers (prefer charging to avoid unnecessary random visits. See you soon Thanks!!

The room we had for 3 nights was clean, spacious & plenty of storage. Bathroom was lovely. Until a new actual chef arrived for breakfast on wendnesday the food was awful. The waiting staff were all lovely & very friendly & helpful. It was our 2nd stay at the hotel & wouldn't mind staying there again.

I loved the place, the staff were attentive but discreet which is hard to find usually. The room was utilitarian and not so large but it had everything I needed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice and the shower really good. The place itself is lovely, pleasant grounds to walk around in, there is a tennis court which although functional has seen better days. We actually spent most of the evening out in the court, roller skated for a while then we were watching the sky. No one bothered us at all. Breakfast was great, plenty of it and tasty. The only thing I wasn't so impressed with were the corn flakes I had but these were soon forgotten once made it to the completely outstanding fried eggs. For what it cost to stay and have breakfast I left totally happy. I will definitely be back and probably for longer. Just great.

Lovely quiet hotel, beautiful surroundings. Hubby, myself and our small son stayed in a family room, very comfortable double bed and small single for little one. Everything spotlessly clean. Rainfall shower in en suite. Even a small fridge in the room. Room on the small side but perfectly formed. We paid extra for breakfast, buffet style had everything you could ask for, great cooked breakfast, hot and perfectly cooked. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money, shame we only stayed for one night.
