Acorn Cottage occupies a quiet spot on a hillside within a working farm, five miles from Ayr's shops and restaurants and two miles from Prestwick. The cottage itself is split across two floors: downstairs holds the living and dining room with a sofa bed suitable for children, plus a kitchen where you can cook proper meals. Upstairs, a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom overlooks the surrounding countryside.

The accommodation sleeps three and comes with wi-fi, bed linen, parking for two cars on site, and access to a shared garden with furniture and a barbecue. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for shared use. The views from the property stretch across the farm's fields to the Carrick Hills and the Isle of Arran. You'll need your own transport to reach shops and attractions, but that opens up the area—Royal Troon and Turnberry golf courses are nearby, as are Culzean Castle, Ayr Racecourse and eighty miles of Ayrshire's coastline.
