Couples and small families after something genuinely different will find The Rose at Coynant Farm hard to resist. This is a working farmstay where your accommodation is a converted boat moored on a private lake, surrounded by 200 acres of natural grounds and woodland in the Swansea valley. You get the whole property to yourself, with parking for two cars on site.
Inside, the boat is fitted with two bedrooms—one with a small double and single bed, the other with a single—each with its own shower room. Upstairs, the living space is open-plan, combining kitchen and dining area with a wood burner. A decked sitting area faces the water. The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included, as is the initial fuel for the wood-fired hot tub. There is a separate private shower block beside the lake, and a laundry room 200 yards away on the farm.
What makes this place memorable is what surrounds it. You have private access to a small island with a domed shelter, ideal for an evening drink or a meal away from the boat. Coarse fishing is available by arrangement with the owner. The working farm setting means water comes from a borehole rather than mains supply. Non-smokers only.

We had a truly lovely stay at Snow White House. The cottage is beautifully designed, very peaceful, and surrounded by nature — perfect for relaxing and getting away from everything. The view is stunning, and the whole area feels so calm and quiet. We loved the farm tour where we got to see horses, llamas, sheeps, and water buffalos — such a unique experience! A special thanks to Mark for spending two days with us and giving us a wonderful tour of the farm. His guidance made our stay at Snow White House even more memorable! The hot tub was a wonderful touch for unwinding in the evening. Everything at Snow White House was perfect — clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We had a wonderful birthday stay at Snow White House — it was peaceful, beautifully designed, and made the perfect setting to celebrate together.Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape. 🌿✨

We booked through Airbnb for a night away for a birthday night to enjoy the hot tub and some downtime. This is not what we got! The photos are not what you will get sadly it’s a shame as it could be nice and I hope the owners will take on board the comments to make it a better experience. Everything just needs an update and a deep clean. It’s an older cottage and a lovely building but needs to be brought up to a better standard for rental I think it was an expensive night for what it was. I thought I was paying extra for the hot tub but we didn’t even use it as I felt it wasn’t safe from a hygienic point of view. I wouldn’t book again…..

I recently stayed at Coynant Farm Park, Guesthouse & Holiday Cottages in September, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is wonderfully secluded, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle—perfect for those looking for peace and quiet. One of the highlights of the stay was the variety of animals on the farm. It was a joy to see them roaming freely, and guests are welcome to explore the grounds as long as they stay away from the farm buildings. This added a lovely touch to the experience, making it feel even more connected to nature. The views of the surrounding mountains were breathtaking, providing a stunning backdrop that enhanced the overall charm of the location. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or taking an evening stroll, the scenery was truly a feast for the eyes. The hosts provided excellent advice on local attractions and places to visit, making it easy to plan my days. Whether you're interested in scenic walks or exploring nearby towns, their recommendations were spot-on. As an ideal spot for walkers, the surrounding countryside is stunning, with plenty of trails to choose from. I loved being able to step out and immerse myself in nature right from the property. Overall, my stay at Coynant Farm was a lovely retreat for anyone looking to unwind and explore the great outdoors. I would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers!

We stayed here for one night and couldn’t wait to get out of here fast enough. The location was very secluded and hard to get to. No proper signage to the property. The rooms were barely clean with food crumbs all over the floor. I didn’t end up taking my shoes off. Strange smell coming from the house with the walls being thin so we could hear everything going on next door. Bedsheets were filthy with a build up of hairs. We were told the hot tub was included with our property but when we tried to use it, we were told we had to pay an extra £40 for the night and that we should be ‘grateful’ to stay here. Not sure what that meant. This was then locked so we could not use it. This was a huge shame as we only booked this place for the hot tub as nothing else attracted us. Owner was very rude and unhelpful and didn’t seem to want us there. We did not want to stay here any longer and considered leaving earlier.
