Step into Swallow's Barn and you're on ground level throughout—no stairs to navigate. The living space flows naturally from a sitting room with woodburner and smart TV through to a well-equipped kitchen, then into a sun room with sofa bed and doors opening onto decking. Two proper bedrooms sit alongside two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, the other a walk-in cubicle. The main bedroom has a double bed; the second offers a zip-and-link that splits into singles if needed.
This detached barn sits within the owner's smallholding in the Sussex High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where walking starts at the gate. Parking for two cars is on site. A separate games room with pool table and a garden barn with freezer are part of what's available to you. There's a barbecue area and decking for outdoor dining. A bike store is provided. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, with initial fuel for the woodburner already there. One pet is welcome. The nearest shop is two and a half miles away and a pub two miles. Smoking is not permitted.
Battle Abbey and the 1066 Battlefield lie within reach, as do Bodiam Castle, Herstmonceaux, and various gardens and heritage railways. Eastbourne is fifteen miles, Tunbridge Wells eighteen, and Brighton thirty.
