The Old Parlour

The Old Parlour is a detached barn conversion on a 120-acre working farm near Battle, in the village of Whatlington. Everything you need for a self-contained stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer-dryer. A wood-burning stove heats the open-plan living space, with logs available locally. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower, the other with two single beds and access to a separate shower room. There is private parking for two cars on site, and one pet can stay free of charge.

Everything is at ground level and opens onto a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, overlooking the fields. The farm's 120 acres (shared with the owners) are open for guests to explore on foot. Battle Abbey and its famous 1066 battlefield are nearby, while Hastings is seven miles away. Rye, Bodiam Castle, Scotney Castle and Kipling's Bateman's are all within reach. The nearest shops and restaurants are three miles away. Non-smokers only.
