What visitors say
I booked The Nest for my partners birthday and it exceeded all expectations. It was the most perfect night away, equipped with everything we could’ve needed. The hot tub was fresh and preheated, the lodge was spotless, and the pizza oven was a brilliant extra. The team were communicative, answering all questions almost instantly. Would 100% book again! Thank you to the Outside Inn Team for an amazing stay!

We stayed here for 3 days. On the positive side, the cabin was fairly clean inside, the courtyard had cozy lighting, and there was all the necessary kitchenware available. However, there were several disappointing aspects. Two weeks before our trip, we received a notification that the BBQ grill would not be available because it was difficult to clean. At the same time, the grill was still listed in the booking confirmation, and having a BBQ was one of the main reasons we chose this place, as we were planning to cook meat outdoors. We were told that a pizza oven would be provided instead, but that is not really a substitute for a BBQ. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that the pizza oven was also not working. We were informed about this only five minutes before check-in via text message. The suggested solution was for us to drive somewhere and buy disposable BBQs ourselves. The next day, a replacement pizza oven was provided, but the main issue remained: we booked this property expecting to have BBQ facilities, not just the option to make pizza. Another thing to note is that guests are expected to wash all dishes because, as we were told, the cleaners are not paid to do it. Just wondering who is paying me for doing this. Inside the cabin, there is almost no storage space for personal belongings, no shelves and no hooks for clothes. The sofa is also very hard, and you can clearly feel the springs when sitting on it. Overall, we were left with very mixed feelings. The place has some nice features, but the changes regarding the advertised amenities and the communication around them significantly affected our stay.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at The Nest and couldn't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I booked, the customer service was exceptional, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful who always answered my questions very quickly. The whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. The accommodation was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The attention to detail and genuine care shown by the team made the experience even more special. Thank you to everyone at The Nest for making my stay so memorable. I will definitely be returning and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay!

The outside area was really nice. Although for 4 people, it would have been handy having the 4 chairs around the table, (not sure if one was missing) and it would have been great if the outside table was under shelter, due to the rain. As there is no table to eat off of, inside the lodge. So we stood around the bbq area. It was great not having to bring coal, fire logs etc as both the fire pit and BBQ ran off gas, which was all sorted for us. Perfect for cooking off and making s'mores. The hot tub was great, clean and roomy for us 4. It was so nice outside when all the lights were on in the evening. The lodge inside is small. The double bed was comfortable. The sofa bed wasn't in the best condition, and very low to the ground to sit on as a sofa. But it made do for the children. They had bedding and towels. You need bottles of water, as you can't drink the water from the taps due to iron levels. Which really needs to be sign posted above the sink!. We were only informed of this via email on the day of our arrival. The hob on the inside didn't work, but was notified of this on the morning of our stay. (Although I knew due to friends staying the previous week it wasn't working then either) The shower and toilet was good and clean. The lodge stayed quiet cosy without needing the heater on. The wifi was good strong signal. The welcome/check in/check out emails were a good way to stay connected . I think for the price I paid (£206) plus the £100 holding deposit was on the expensive side for some things not useable or working but overall, we did have a nice stay and would recommend it to others and would book to stay again. Thank you
