Overall quite a good cinema however we experienced a few issues on tonight’s visit. Pros: it’s inside the Metrocentre so it’s handy for the shops and restaurants, the seats are comfier than most cinemas, the picture and sound quality in the screens (especially imax) is very good and the quality of the food is nice. Cons: the queuing system for food and drink is very slow, the old way was much faster, now you have to queue up twice, once to use the touchscreens to place your order and then again to collect your food. The Diet Coke self serve machine had ran out of syrup so I ended up with a cup full of soda water which I had to tip out and three out of four hand driers in the ladies toilets were broken. I also miss the gallery experience that they did away with once the cinema had a refurb a few years ago. For how pricey this cinema is I would expect a bit better but with the above issues fixed then it could be amazing.

Staffs friendly and very helpful, with lovely smiles. Inside screen was clean and not smelly, comfortable seats and screen size very good, even when seated on the side of isle near the wall. Sound effect good as well, not too noisy Toilets conditions kept immaculate and bright, not smelly, not too dark as some toilets are 👍 Was surprised to see staff waiting at the door with recycle/rubbish bin after movie to take rubbish/ready to go in to clean up?

I've been visiting this cinema regularly and generally enjoy the experience, but I've recently noticed that a surprising number of seats have visible slits or cuts in the seat cushions. These aren't just worn seams or minor signs of age – many appear to be actual tears in the middle of the seats and vary in size. The screens, picture and sound are generally good, and the staff have always been friendly, but the condition of some of the seating lets the cinema down. For the price of tickets and refreshments, I would expect the seating to be maintained to a higher standard. Hopefully the damaged seats can be repaired or replaced, as otherwise this remains a good cinema with a convenient location and a wide choice of films.

Booked to see the Odyssey and paid a premium for IMAX. However, the auditorium is very small and the seats, while sold as ‘recliner’ have a raised footrest rather than a full recline, they are small and uncomfortable for the price. The ticket ordering is seamless through the website but the snack system is baffling and slow comprising a two tier system where you queue for a touch screen (no sanitiser gel provided) to order, and then queue again to collect the snacks. You have to dispense and collect your own drinks. The whole process was very slow and understaffed.

People say this cinema offers an amazing IMAX experience with great sound and picture quality, and many screens feature comfortable reclining seats. They also highlight the friendly and helpful staff, the clean auditoriums and restrooms, and the convenient free parking.

Some reviews mention the snack ordering system can be slow.
