What guests say
Had our small wedding reception on beautiful terrace and in private space upstairs. Staff were wonderfully accommodating and kept everything running smoothly despite sudden emergencies. Some meals were lovely but pork on the fatty side. Great atmosphere and everyone felt comfortable and attended to. Professional and relaxed at the same time. Can't thank them enough. 10 stars!

We came here for a last minute dinner this weekend and had such a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and service was very quick. The hotel itself is gorgeous and has beautiful views from the terrace and beer garden. The food was delicious - we particularly liked the seafood platter and the mussels. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

What a wonderful hotel. Really quirky and beautifully designed. We were very lucky and were upgraded to a bigger room (no 5) which was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lovely tea and coffee provisions and the little shortbreads were delicious. Great shower and comfy, and huge, bed. Nothing to not like. We had a couple of drinks from the bar. We enjoyed the first in the cave (we were told about why it's there and about the secret tunnels in Tunbridge Wells-it was really interesting) and the second in the garden which was tranquil with a lovely outlook. The breakfast room was stunning-there are lots of little bird cages and unusual ornaments-it really felt luxurious (sadly we didn't have our phones with us to take any photos). Breakfast was excellent-quality produce, cooked well and everything was hot. All of the staff we met were professional, helpful and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. We only stayed for one night but really felt as though we'd had a mini break.
