Wing Hall Wing Lakes Caravan and Camping

Just arrived back from yet another Fab stay! Weather was on our side, the ladies who looked after us, we’re very friendly and welcoming, super easy to get settled, fresh new shower and toilet blocks! Very family friendly.. had 2 boys, who had the freedom to explore, and met up With other children, plenty of space to bomb about on bikes..with a big ol tree to climb and tree swing.. (don’t get to see that often) They had a fully stocked shop, with essentials and fresh local meat. The boys even got little treats! ❤️ We were recommended this campsite From a friend, and will be our go to, every time we need to escape from reality! Super close to the water park.. and surrounded by lots of village pubs, if you didn’t want to dabble with camp munches! Huge thank you from the knowles family, look forward to our next visit! X ,

Lovely campsite. They have an adults only quiet site, and about 4 other fields. Great views. Very close to Kings Arms pub in Wing Village, only 5 mins walk. Hot showers and clean toilets. Plenty of pot wash stations too. Amazing on-site shop with all sorts of good stuff, all great quality. It’s open till 5 but sometimes till 7. The owner works there and she is clearly very proud and passionate. Dogs strictly on leads, they insist and will ask people to leave if not, because the chickens roam free. Great walk to Lyndon or Manton across fields. I’m sure there are more walk but we ran out of time to explore. I like it.

Wing hall sounds very grand but all that glitters is not gold . This site has so much potential as in a good location and if the grounds were kept well it would be nice . It's fairly run down . They don't even cut the grass for the pitches or if they do its not on a regular basis. On arrival at the reception there is two older ladies who's customer service skills leave a lot to be desired. The only time I got a smile is when I offered to pay cash . They have a little shop that sells a bit of everything which is handy but both times I used it they wanted to charge more than the listed price so be aware of this . When I pointed this out I got no apology just a ok well pay that then ! I just wanted to pay the price it was advertised as . Another customer had the same problem while I was in the shop . The showers and toilets are very tired although they did apear to have cleanish toilets but the floors and room leaved a lot to be desired . We used the local pub which was nice food , beer and staff . We spoke to a local and got chatting about our camp site . We mentioned there must be people stopping with money as a red Ferrari rumbled it's engine down the drive . We were told that's the son of the owners . So maybe sell that and upgrade a run down camp site . Such a shame as it could be a really nice place if it was cared for and run properly . Forgot to mention a positive , there's a little cafe / coffee shop which is nice , lovely staff and is clean with nice produce . It maybe independently run as its a different experience from there shop / check in

Not our first visit to this location but the only time we've left early. Last night's windy conditions left us with a sleepless night and we headed home. We were given a pitch far from anyone else in what seemed like an idyllic location overlooking the countryside. We didn't manage to cook very well as the wind circled around us. So all in all not a successful camping trip. The site itself is pleasant enough and has toilet and shower facilities. The farm shop stocks plenty of provisions for your stay. The cafe restaurant wasn't open last night as it has been in the past. There are stunning views over the valley but it's so much better in the sunshine.
