About Old Oak Farm
Of all the things you might expect to see when you stay in Rutland, fields full of grapes may not be the first to spring to mind. Yet that's exactly what you'll get at Old Oak Farm, a luxurious glampsite where swish bell tents sit among seven acres of private land with a working vineyard. Each individually designed tent has its own 24-square-metre private space, complete with handmade kingsize oak bed, contemporary furnishings, full kitchen equipment and modern safety features. Step outside to your firepit, verandah and parasol-shaded seating, with hidden picnic spots and secluded hideaways scattered about the grounds.
New owners took over in 2022 and provide a genuinely warm welcome, even supplying bedding and towels for those travelling light. Well-behaved dogs are welcome (with their own beds provided), though leads are essential given the resident rabbit population. The historic market town of Uppingham sits just half a mile away, offering supermarkets, bistros and a Friday market, while award-winning restaurants and wine bars dot the surrounding Rutland countryside.

We had an amazing stay at woodcutters. Emma & family are superb hosts. The whole site is set out well with privacy and beautiful surroundings. The cabin is very rustic in a very smart way with beautiful furnishings. I would say that it felt idyllic. It has an enclosed large grassed garden for our dog. Surrounded by nature, birds in the trees outside your bedroom window and a couple of deer in the garden. We are looking forward to staying again soon, Thanks Emma & family xx

We spent a lovely weekend in The Reading Room- a delightful space with everything you could want. We went for long walks in the stunning countryside and ate in great local pubs. I would recommend Old Oak Farm for anyone looking for warm hospitality and a great, homely space to visit.

This is an absolutely beautiful venue perfect for parties, weddings or a stay with the family. We held a wine tasting session for a hen party here and it was just perfect. Emma was a great host and very accommodating, making the whole experience perfect. The pricing was really reasonable and we felt we got a lot for our money. Would highly recommend and would love to try and stay/ use the venue again.

We had an AMAZING stay at Old Oak Farm in the Woodcutter Cabin! Emma gave a warm welcome and escorted us to the cabin. We found ourselves immediately trapped in tranquility 😍 The cabin was spacious, clean and well equipped. The site itself is stunning and well taken care of! My favourite being the selection of beautiful flowers being grown! We would love to return in the future! Thank you Emma and family, for a wonderful stay at your winery, you should be extremely proud of your establishment 👌
