Rutland's gently rolling countryside surrounds Oakham, a market town with independent shops, cafes and restaurants within easy reach. The Tack Room sits on the edge of this rural landscape, a single-storey barn conversion finished to a high standard with slate, oak and warm wood throughout. Everything is on one level, from the parking area through to the open-plan living space, making it straightforward to navigate for anyone with mobility considerations.
The property sleeps two in a zip-and-link bed that can be separated into singles if preferred. There is one bathroom with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and grab rail. The kitchen is fitted for actual cooking: induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer are all here. An air source heat pump provides background warmth, and a woodburner sits in the living area for cosier evenings. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; wood for the burner is provided initially, with more available locally. A private parking space comes with an electric vehicle charging point. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
Outside, an enclosed garden has a patio, seating areas and a barbecue. From here you can see out across parkland and grazing fields. Uppingham and Stamford are both nearby for a day out. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
