We’ve just returned from our third stay at the The Central Hotel and it certainly won’t be our last. The location is fantastic — perfectly placed for everything Scarborough has to offer — and the option to pre-book car parking for a small additional cost makes the whole stay so easy and stress-free. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff really make this place special. They are incredibly helpful, friendly and professional, always happy to assist with anything and creating such a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. We also loved spending time in the bar — a lovely, relaxed space to unwind after a day out. A wonderful hotel in a brilliant location — we’re already looking forward to our next visit

Beautiful traditional hotel in a perfect central location. Room was very well decorated and clean. For the price it was a huge room with separate seating area and great views out to the coast. Rest of the hotel is also traditionally decorated and welcoming. Friendly service from the reception and bar staff.

Excellent Hotel, in a lovely area, historic hotel too. Staff are friendly, very informative. Me and my partner go on a lot of trips, this has been our favourite hotel, we stayed back in December too, clean aswell as cheap, very spacious, close to the train station and all the shops. Room is massive, bed is very comfortable. Great bathroom aswell because its huge and a decent sized bath.

Absolutely shocking. I have had a room booked for my daughter and myself for a number of months. Paid in advance. Only to have the hotel cancel my booking after having my money. No explanation. Just cancelled. Very unprofessional, very unpredictable and very unacceptable. With only a few weeks to go before my planned stay, I am going to have to pay an absolute fortune to get another room elsewhere. I can’t imagine I am the only person that they’ve done this too. And by the way, I still have not received my money back that I’ve paid. Furious
