Maybank
Scottish Borders
Maybank is a traditional stone cottage occupying the ground floor of a period building in Peebles town centre. It has two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—and sleeps four, with a wet room and separate toilet. Everything is on one level. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave, though the town's pubs, cafés and restaurants are close enough that many guests won't bother. A small walled garden at the back has a patio, seating and a barbecue, and there's a bike store for those planning to explore the surrounding countryside. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; parking is free on the road outside.
Peebles sits on the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow for day trips. The area has cycle routes for all levels, including downhill tracks at Glentrees for experienced riders. Riverside walks start minutes from the property, and the town itself has local shops and cafés. The cottage does not permit smoking.
