The Annex at Fernyrig is a ground-floor cottage in the Scottish Borders between Coldstream and Kelso, sleeping four across a bedroom and living room sofa bed. Everything needed for self-catering is here: the kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, while the living room centres on a wood burner and 40" TV with Sky. Underfloor heating runs throughout, electricity and wi-fi are included, and the bedding and towels are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask when booking.
The bedroom holds a kingsize bed. The bathroom is sizeable, with a bath, separate walk-in shower, heated towel rail and shower seat. Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn, sitting area, garden furniture and a BBQ. Parking for three cars is on site, and there is an electric car charging point (available 9am–5pm). One pet stays free, and a purpose-built kennel is available if needed. The property is no-smoking throughout.
This suits couples after a quiet break, or families wanting to explore the borderlands and northern England. The River Tweed runs just north of here.
