Ludlow Food Centre

Only just found this place but will be returning. Not really advertised and we only saw the sign as we went past it, and turned back. Located beside -but set behind the Clive Arms Hotel, it was not obvious from the road. Laid out like the farm, the buildings are all different options. All shops are clean with plenty of room. Staff are all attentive and pleasent to talk to. Prices were normal for a farm shop, as were the 'gift' areas.. (The cards section had a completely different collection to the normal run in street shops and we bought several more than we should! ) Food was excellent in the cafe - dogs were admitted to half the cafe area, but dogs were welcomed site wide as far as we could see. Plenty of parking. Distillery looked good, but unfortunately time prevented my visit! The areas between the buildings was laid to grass and very good pathways with plenty of seating. Looking forward to returning asap!

Very lovely farm shop with great selections of local produce as well as cupboard fillers. We visited the farm shop first in 2020 and a lot has changed since. We brought friends this time and it was not disappointing. The farm shop offers wide range of fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, deli, etc. The frozen ready meals section was great too. We love their bakery section. If you come in the afternoon, about an hour before the shop closes, they offer discount for their fresh products which is a bargain. We also tried their ice cream and it was delicious. They also have small holding for gardening items, restaurant as well as gin distilery. Perfect for people who enjoy gin and would like to have an experience to see how it is being processed. Our kids love their playground too. It is well maintained. Will be our to go option whenever we would like to spend a wonderful afternoon with visiting guests.

This is a great place to visit whether you live locally, on holiday in the area or like me use it as a stop over place on a longer journey. There is an excellent cafe serving locally sourced food, gift shop, gin shop, gallery selling interesting art and cards plus an excellent food shop selling locally sourced food. Plus a chalet selling ice creams. Previously there had been a garden centre but that is sadly not there any more. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great produce from the butcher. The steak we bought was excellent with really good flavour, high quality, and fairly priced for what you get. The bacon was also very good, with proper thickness and great taste. Highly recommend.
