About The Black Horse at Ireland
The Black Horse at Ireland is a historic inn set in the small hamlet of Ireland, near Shefford in Bedfordshire, the kind of building whose character comes from age rather than modern design. It retains the feel of a traditional country pub while offering the practical comforts guests expect, with classic en-suite rooms, air conditioning and free WiFi throughout.
Downstairs there is a cosy restaurant serving meals including options for children, along with a bar for drinks and a garden and picnic area for outdoor seating in fine weather. A 24 hour reception, luggage storage and free on-site parking round out the practical side of a stay here, whether passing through or settling in for longer.
The surrounding countryside offers plenty for those keen to get outdoors, with golf, fishing and horse riding all available nearby, plus further pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach. The Chiltern Hills lie close by for anyone wanting to explore beyond the hamlet itself.
