We had a cruise stop in Shetland and made our own tour . We stopped here and it was one of the highlights of our timing Shetland. What a wonderful time to wander the beach and the island as well as enjoy the ruins of the church. This is one of the most special places we've ever visited.

One of the most spectacular spots on Shetland! Easy, free parking at the car park. A short walk to the beach. Just amazing! The two sides of the beach are surprisingly different. The south side was a bit calmer than the north side today. Great for beachcombing and rockpooling. Walk over to St. Ninian’s and up the hill to the cliffs for amazing views of the ocean. The fields on St. Ninian’s are full of sheep & lambs in June. Cutest sight! An easy walk and worth the trip!

What a stunning place to visit. We checked the tide times before coming and did the walk from one side where there is room for cars. We walked over to the island and followed the trail. No issues coming back and beautiful beaches

Spectacular tombola which Paulo and I walked over, it was a lovely warm day with plenty of sunshine and a light cooling breeze from the sea. Easy access from a simple car park and also some benches to just sit and enjoy the view.
