About Levenwick Campsite
Levenwick Campsite occupies a sheltered spot beside the community hall in Shetland's South Mainland, with panoramic sea views and a peaceful garden setting that belies its proximity to the main road. This small, volunteer-run site has recently upgraded its facilities with accessible showers and toilets, plus a well-equipped amenity room housing washing machine and tumble dryer. Electric hookups are available for caravans and motorhomes, waste disposal points are provided, and dogs are welcome throughout.
The location makes an excellent base for exploring the southern reaches of Mainland Shetland—Sumburgh Head's puffin colonies, the remarkable Jarlshof archaeological site, and Levenwick's own sandy beach are all within easy reach, while Lerwick sits around 20 miles north. Open May to September only, space is limited and advance booking through the community's online system is essential. All income supports the adjoining hall, lending stays here a genuinely local, non-commercial atmosphere that regular touring parks can't match.

Great campsite. Good facilities in the kitchen and the shower and toilets were clean and spacious. You need to obtain the code from the shower from the warden. We camped in a rooftent and the pitch had loads of room and had views over the sea
