Food: Tried the Keralan fried chicken for starters. Was able to get a bar version (3 pcs). They were paired with a mayo mix. I really prefer mayo with fried chicken if gravy is unavailable. The only downside for this starter was the chicken portions seem to be bigger in the pictures. For mains, I ordered the Tamil Beef Keema Pulao, which is basically biryani rice with ground beef cooked in a traditional clay pot, with bone marrow. This was the star of the night but my only complain is there was only one bone marrow, at least make it 2 to complement the amount of rice. For dessert, I chose a traditional ice cream that I forgot the name of Service: I had to wait a fair bit for my order to be taken but not a big deal. They were quite busy. The server was polite but was not that knowledgeable of the menu items. Atmosphere: It didn’t feel like an Indian restaurant at all, quite a mix of contemporary and art deco interior. The cool part is the seat by the kitchen so you have front seat on how your food is made. Overall, absolutely delicious but portions can be small compared to what you paid for.

🌼 Kricket 🌺 📍 Shoreditch, London 🙋‍♀️ How did I walk past this place everyday when I lived in London and never went in? Shame on me. BUT, I’ve tried it now and it is stunnnnnnning, so this is a PSA to tell you all to go. We started with a couple of cocktails which I stupidly didn’t picture but were incredible so had to mention them. 🌹 I got the Anar Margarita - Tequila, Jaggery, Rose and Pomegranate. Sweet, strong, and a winner in my eyes. 🥃 Faye ordered the Khubani White Negroni. This is the first negroni I’ve ever actually liked. It was Mezcal, Sake, Vermouth and spiced apricot. Really good. To eat: 🥜 Dal vada, peanut chutney 🥭 Bhel Puri 🍛 Grilled Squash Curry 🥘 Mangalorean Chicken Gassi Curry 🍚 Tumeric Rice 🫓 Masala Naan Incredible food all round. 🌟 I loved the Bhel Puri - it was puffed rice which is not had before but the flavours of mango, chutney and yogurt on top just made it a great dish. 🌟 The butternut squash in my curry was cooked perfectly, slightly charred, really soft and the curry had crumbled paneer in which added texture and flavour. Delicious. 🌟 Faye’s curry was chicken thigh, lovely flavours and plenty of sauce to scoop up with the naan. 👏 The staff were friendly, explained the menu and the service was nice and speedy - especially on the drinks, you are bad influences but I’m not complaining 😜 🩷 If you’re looking for a lovely, fancy Indian meal in Shoreditch, @kricket is definitely worth a visit. We really enjoyed our visit! Follow me for more restaurant/foodie recommendations: 👉🏼@ellen_eats_out👈🏼

First thing to highlight is the quality of service - how friendly and welcoming the guys were. Atmosphere is nice, good vibes, nice music. Decent beer selection (they had Deya on draft!!) and great cocktails. Food is really delicious - we had the prawn starter which is excellent, the mains of chicken and lamb alongside the daal and the naans are amazing. The dessert was nice (French toast kind of dish). Recommend!

We had a fantastic meal at Kricket Shoreditch. The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with great care. The menu was creative and everything we tried was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed without feeling rushed. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for excellent Indian-inspired food in London, and we'll certainly be back!
