Tucked into the Shropshire countryside near Much Wenlock, Spring Field Dark Skies Eco Camp lives up to its name with genuinely dark skies that stargazers will relish. The site offers an impressive range of pitches – from bijou bivvy spots and secluded hide-away tent pitches to hardstanding for motorhomes and sprawling XL grass pitches for larger groups – plus campfires are positively encouraged. Facilities are simple but well-kept, with showers, toilets and drinking water on tap, and WiFi reaches across the field if you need it.
Open year-round and family-friendly (though note dogs aren't allowed), this feels less like a regimented touring park and more like camping the way it used to be. The nearby town of Much Wenlock is a gentle stroll away for supplies, while the Shropshire Hills and Ironbridge both beckon within easy striking distance.

What visitors say
One of the warmest welcomes we have had to a campsite, owners (Malcolm & Linda) were really attentive, warm and friendly. Even added a bag of ice for us to the outdoor fridge freezer. Toilets and showers were spotless, never out of loo roll. The views are to die for especially with the dark skies. Shame we were only staying for one night, we can’t wait to go back.

This Eco camp site is set in miles of countryside. The views are incredible. The sight is powered by solar energy and is almost totally carbon neutral. Great for solo, couples and groups to visit. The sky's at night are full of stars. A wonderful stay.

Wow, this was our first outing in our micro day camper & what a site for it! From the moment we got there we knew we were in the right place. Polite owners, Stunning views, hard standing parking was perfect with the weather & to top it off HOT showers & CLEAN facilities. Honestly, amazing… we will 100% be regulars now 🏕️ Thank you.

Great Dark skies campsite. WiFi available on site. Quiet and relaxing, friendly welcome and clean facilities. Charging points in a sheltered pod. Great views and firepits can be rented or you can use the central one that has picnic tables near it. Great drive to get there, although it is mostly single track with passing points. Secure gate on arrival. Really enjoyed our stay and it is close to lots of activities and things to do.
