Crabapple Cottage is a converted barn on the owners' grounds in Treflach, positioned high enough to overlook the Tanat Valley. The whole property is yours alone, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms—a king bed upstairs with ensuite, and a double with its own shower room on the first floor. Downstairs, the kitchen has what you need for self-catering: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The living room has a woodburner (logs included to start), Freeview TV and wifi. A south-facing patio opens onto the gardens, with a field beyond if you want space to move around.
The location suits families and couples after a rural base. Offa's Dyke National Trail is within half a mile, and Snowdon, Lake Vyrnwy, Llanrhaedr waterfall and several castles are all a short drive away. Treflach village—with a pub and restaurant—is about a mile down the road, and the nearest shop is two miles. One small dog is welcome at no extra cost, though the surrounding countryside is sheep farming, so dogs must be kept on a lead. There is a pond in the owners' grounds 50 yards from the cottage, and a stream with steep banks in the adjacent field, so these are things to be aware of if you have young children. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. No smoking inside.
