Oswestry sits on the Shropshire-Wales border, surrounded by market towns and rural walking routes. A few miles out, in the village of Rhydycroesau, Cynynion Uchaf occupies its own corner of a working farm—far enough back for real quiet, close enough that the Rhydycroesau Woodlands and Oswestry Old Racecourse Common are within reach on foot. The house itself is substantial: four bedrooms (one king, one double, one king, one twin accessed through the third), two bathrooms, and room for eight people to spread out across two floors.
Ground floor spaces include a living room with woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with induction hob, range, dishwasher and coffee machine, a dining area, conservatory overlooking the garden, and utility room. Upstairs, the main bedroom has an en-suite; the other three bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. The enclosed garden has a patio, seating areas and a charcoal barbecue. One dog is welcome, kept on a lead given the farm setting. Families with young children should supervise near the garden pond.
This works well for groups—several families, extended family gatherings—who want a base for walking but also comfortable communal space. Parking on site takes six cars. No smoking indoors.

One of the best places to stay in Oswestry wales, Sam is the best host i ever met. She is so cooperative & kind heart. I have stayed in her property couple of times. This place is best for BBQ , chilling with family or friends, little bit of hiking to get beautiful views. I will go there again.

A lovely, spacious comfortable home from home. Everything we needed for 3 generations. We particularly appreciated the extra touches - flowers, wine and shortbread! A great place to come back to after a big family wedding nearby.

This is a hidden gem!!!!! Stayed at cottage for 5 days with my family. It was spotless. It had everything you needed and more. The log fire was amazing. We even got snow one day, the views from cottage are breathtaking. Sam the owner was great. Nothing was to much trouble for her. We booked a lamb roast and.desserts too be delivered to the cottage on our first night and her cooking was amazing!!!!!!! 6 full stomachs sitting around the fire was exactly what we needed. Will definitely return Thanks Tracy
