About Brayshaw View Glamping and Camping

A view? Well, Brayshaw View Glamping & Camping promises that in its name – and boy, does it deliver. This peaceful site, part of a fourth-generation farm on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border, sits in that very sweet spot looking out over the Forest of Bowland on one side and the Yorkshire Dales National Park on the other. Views galore greet guests whether you're heading out to explore or settling on site for a barbecue evening while gazing towards the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Being fairly remote, the views don't even stop at sunset – the dark skies here make for fabulous stargazing on clear nights.

How you spend your days is totally up to you – keep it local, strolling by the stream running through the farm, heading out on trails through nearby Gisburn Forest, or walking an hour to the local pub for a good meal and a pint. Alternatively, use this place as a peaceful base for adventures: climbing Pen-y-ghent, meeting the residents of Bowland Wild Boar Park, or going underground at Ingleborough Cave. Back on site, there's plenty of space to relax, plus showers and toilets to get you cleaned up.

Had a stay here and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Site owner greeted us on arrival. The family have lived in the area for a long time and she was really happy to give us a bit of history and tips for nearby things to do/see. We hired bikes and tried the mountain bike trails down the road - ace! The location is fab. We stayed in the bell tents but if you have a camper/tent you can just pick your own place to set up. It's not overbooked so everyone grabbed themselves a sunrise location. The bell tents were really cosy and there's small touches like side lamps and blankets. The shower and toilets were basic but really clean and with helpful touches like mirrors. Well maintained throughout the weekend. Plenty of hot water. Couldn't have felt more relaxed. Thanks for a great stay!

Decided to have a short break for my birthday camping at Brayshaw. After reading the reviews we decided to book last minute. The site was easy to find using Google maps, but of advice, don’t use car satnav it takes you to the forest. As we found out when my partner decided to follow the car satnav. We arrived early evening and there were already a few people on site. We were welcomed on site by the owner. She was knowledgeable on the breathtaking scenery, the views were amazing. We had planned to go to Malham (25 minute drive) on the Saturday but unfortunately the weather prevailed that from happening. Bev was also Knowledgeable on all the surrounding local villages and places to visit with a 9 year old. The site was immaculate, the showers and toilets were extremely clean throughout out two day stay. The only thing I would advise, if you’re needing the bathroom in the night, take a torch as there is very little lighting. Other than that, the showers are also spotless and there is hot water. We will definitely be returning over the summer.

Amazing views of yorkshire dales 3 peaks. The sound of curlews and the sight of hares running around is magical. If you want peace and quiet then this spot away from the roads is great, yet still close to settle and other places in the yorkshiredales.

Booked last minute and couldn’t have asked for a better site. Lots of space to pitch, clean toilet block and ability to buy a log burner! Will be back soon
