What guests say
Don't stay here. I'd rather sleep on the street. Host is one of the worst men i've met in my life, appalling behaviour. I felt unsafe, uncomfortable and really upset. As soon as we arrived he opened the door and just stood there while we waited in porch struggling with our heavy bags? Never told us their names. Did not invite us in and we had to squeeze past him. Couldn't relax after our long journey. Got us to sit down for ages to tick what we want for breakfast and have most meaningless chat of my life? First started by insulting my taste in music because he didnt know who they were and diet choice of being a vegan. Started his misogynistic comments that he likes my boyfriend, when he didnt even speak, just the fact he's a man and eats meat. The main event, i was having a heated argument with my boyfriend and the owner knocked on the door and came up to me angry and intimidating say not to do it in his house, do it on the street. Not to speak to him because he is speaking and telling me, trying to teach me a lesson and im in the wrong when i kept saying my boyfriend came in starting an argument and i couldnt leave because i was trying to get changed and he kept provoking me. The owner got in my face and was extremely rude. None of his buisness telling me its probably my fault and only getting angry at me. I asked to leave because after that behaviour i did want to stay there but he said you will not you will give me my money when we had just got in the room? And saying we are keeping the room like he gets any bookings? Breakfast was poisonous, boyfriend a i left feeling ill and sick. No additions to breakfast (just tomato, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and toast), when i asked a month in advance? bought my own things from the shop. Acted surprised when i ask for vegan butter? Couldnt drink the orange juice from concentrate i assume. Cant reply to messages or answers calls? Photos show the black mould in the bedroom and bathroom. Pillow and table full covered in crumbs, bit hard to see in photos. Dirty and grubby wardrobe/drawers full of belongings?? No room or too dirty where this is to put my stuff. No plugs. Very dated bedroom and worn bedding probably been slept in many times. Said its his daughter's old bedroom doesnt give a great appeal?Made tea and it had limescale from the kettle in. Dead fly in the bathroom, not allowed to use the bath and no explanation.. Overhead shower didnt work and shower moves and doesnt stay still. Was conveniently near concert venue but had to leave before 2nd night and spend double to find somewhere else far away because i could not sleep in that house.

Lovely home/ b&b, extremely clean and tidy with kind welcoming owners who did not 'over host'. We'd had a very long day and where welcomed, shown straight to our room and left to our own devices, we were offered to go and use the lounge downstairs but we were so tired we headed straight to bed. Breakfast was served Bang on the nail when we asked for it at 7.30am and it was really really tasty, perfectly cooked. Room was cosy and bed was comfortable. House was nice, warm and peaceful. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll see you next year!!!!

Lovely b+b, friendly hosts and Gayton bed and breakfast is located 5 minutes on the train from Birmingham Airport. The room was large and bright with a comfy bed and there is a pub and sandwich shop close by too for meals out. Perfect if you need airport accommodation but don't want to be in Birmingham City or stay at the airport itself.

A friend and I enjoyed our one night stay at this B&B. The hosts were a lovely, friendly couple who provided very good service throughout. The location was perfect for what we needed (close proximity to the train station) and the room itself was spacious and well-maintained. I would absolutely recommend this place.
