Montacute sits within the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where walking and cycling trails start almost on the doorstep. The village is close enough to reach shops, pubs and restaurants within a mile and a half, yet far enough into countryside to feel genuinely remote. Bluebell Cottage occupies its own corner here, a single-storey property with parking for two cars and a large enclosed garden where you can sit out with morning coffee or an evening drink.
Inside, everything is on one level. The open-plan living space has a wood-burning stove, Freeview Smart TV and French doors onto the garden. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, microwave, full-size fridge. There's one bedroom with a kingsize bed and garden access, and a bathroom with a roll-top bath and shower. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One dog stays free; the cottage is non-smoking.
The location suits people who want to explore on foot or by bike—Exmoor, Dunster Castle and Wells Cathedral are all within reach—but also those after quieter days. Kilve Beach is four miles away. Nether Stowey, the village where Samuel Taylor Coleridge lived, is nearby.
