Dairy House Farm
Somerset

Rural south Somerset between Taunton and Ilminster puts you within reach of rolling countryside, market towns and the coast. This wing of a Georgian-era farmhouse sits among working farm buildings, with countryside walks starting from the gate and a livery yard nearby if you're bringing a horse. The Quantock Hills and Exmoor are an hour's drive; the Jurassic Coast two hours further south.
The cottage has two double bedrooms and a bathroom with roll-top bath and shower. Downstairs, the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering—cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer—and opens into a dining and living space with a woodburner set into an old inglenook. A large enclosed garden with lawn and sitting area gives you outdoor space; there's parking for two cars on site. One well-behaved dog stays free. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are covered; you'll also find a cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. Note that access involves a few steps into the garden and steep stairs inside the property.
The nearest pub and restaurant are a mile and a half away; shops two miles. From here you can visit Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, or drive to Bath, Montacute House or the West Somerset Steam Railway at Minehead. The beach is about twenty miles to the south.
