Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral and Wookey Hole are all within driving distance of The Granary, a converted barn on a working cider farm near Bridgwater. For something closer, Plowright Organic is walkable, and country pubs and footpaths lead from the grounds into the surrounding countryside. The on-site farm shop stocks local cider if you want to take something home.
The property sleeps five across two bedrooms: one with a king and single bed, the other a double. There are three bathrooms—one with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, plus ensuite facilities attached to each bedroom. A kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave sits next to the dining area. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. A private hot tub, barbecue and ample parking are on site; there is also a bike store. The farm has a stream 30 yards away and a pond 300 yards distant, so bear that in mind if young children are staying. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The Granary works well for families or couples wanting a countryside break with good access to Somerset's main attractions. A shop, pub and restaurant are about a mile away.

Our third time at the Granary so obviously we are very happy.. Friendly hosts, lovely accomodation - clean and spacious. Quiet, peaceful garden...and very , very reasonably priced. The only possible downside could be the spiral staircase but I am mid 70's and manage. The bedroom once up, is lovely. Would recommend 100%.

We have stayed at The Granary previously. It’s a great place as it’s also dog friendly! The owners are very friendly and helpful! The grounds are beautiful! The accommodation was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable! If we are back in the area again we will def want to stay here again. Highly recommend this place!!!

A really great place to stay in a dreamy setting. The house really left nothing to be desired and was well equipped. A very good starting point for great beaches, hikes and sights. Vivienne and Roy are really very nice and attentive hosts and in no way pushy. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet on the terrace with a view of the sweet garden and the two horses. Nothing else could be heard except wind, sheep and birds. So thank you very much Vivienne and Roy for sharing this beautiful piece of earth. Many greetings from Germany send Bernd and Sonja
