Dragonfly 2 suits couples and families after a quiet Somerset base. The conversion is one of three units within a converted barn at Newton House, between the Somerset Levels and the Quantock Hills. This one has its own enclosed patio garden and comes as a complete property to yourself, with parking for one car on site.

Ground floor holds the living room with woodburner and French doors opening to the courtyard, plus a dining room and kitchen equipped for self-catering. Upstairs are two bedrooms—a double and a bunk bed space—and a bathroom with bath and shower. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and superfast wi-fi come as standard. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. One dog is welcome.

The village sits between two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal running alongside. The Quantock Hills, Exmoor and Blackdown Hills are all reachable for walking and cycling. Maunsel Lock, with tea rooms and boat trips, is nearby. The Harvest Moon pub is a five-minute walk away, and shops are roughly two miles off in North Petherton. No smoking inside the property.
