Everything at Platform 9 3/4 sits on the ground floor. You walk in to an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and lounge areas flowing into one another, with doors onto a level garden. Two bedrooms, each with its own shower room, are tucked off this main space. The smaller bedroom has a three-quarter double; the larger has a king. Throughout the property, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided, along with heating and hot water.

The garden is the main draw. A private hot tub for four overlooks the lawn, with garden furniture and a seating area. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and microwave—so you can eat well without constant trips out. There is a study if you need to work, bike storage, and parking for two cars on site. One dog is welcome at no extra cost, and there is a travel cot and highchair if you are bringing young children. No smoking inside.

The bungalow borders both the Taunton and Bridgwater Canal and a working railway line, so you will hear and occasionally see trains passing by. Walking and cycling routes begin from the gates. Creech St Michael is the immediate setting; the Somerset Railway heritage line at Bishops Lydeard is within reach for those interested in steam trains and railway history.
