The kitchen is properly fitted for cooking real meals—electric cooker, fridge-freezer and microwave mean you can manage anything from a quick lunch to dinner after a day out. Downstairs, an open-plan living space centres on a dining table where the family can gather; a wood-burner provides warmth on cooler evenings, with initial fuel supplied. Upstairs, a double bedroom and a galleried super kingsize (reached by spiral stairs) give everyone their own space, while a single bathroom serves both. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included; a travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The cottage occupies more than 50 acres of farmland and woodland on the edge of Exmoor, where walking and cycling routes crisscross ancient forestry. The private garden has a patio and barbecue, and there's a children's play area on site. Red deer, Exmoor ponies and birds of prey are regular sightings across the estate. On clear nights Exmoor's status as Europe's first Dark Sky Reserve makes for outstanding stargazing. Dulverton is nearby, with the North Devon coast, Lynton and Lynmouth all within reasonable reach. The property does use a natural water supply via borehole. Two cars can park on site. No smoking indoors.
