Wookey Hole – The Stables suits couples, small families, or friends who want their own space without the fuss of stairs. The whole cottage is yours: a living room with smart TV, a kitchen with proper cooking facilities including gas hob and electric oven, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with twin singles), and a shower room with walk-in access and grab rail. Everything from heating to bed linen to wifi is sorted. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The village sits on the edge of the Mendips, where the limestone caves draw visitors year-round. Wells is nearby for shopping and twice-weekly markets; Glastonbury Tor rises a few miles south. There are walking trails from the door, including stretches of the Monarch's Way and Mendip Way, plus local options for pot-holing, mountain biking and hang gliding if you want them. A pub stands 250 yards away. One well-behaved dog stays free. You get private parking for two cars and a patio with garden furniture. No smoking inside.
