The Ayrshire coast between Girvan and Ballantrae is a stretch of farmland, small villages and rocky shoreline, with Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran visible across the water on clear days. Seal Rocks stands at Lendalfoot, a quieter spot with direct access to beach walks and the coastal path. The setting suits couples and families who want the sea without the bustle of a larger resort town, though Girvan's shops, restaurants and leisure centre are only ten minutes away by car.
The lodge is yours alone—a two-storey property with four beds and two bathrooms spread across ground and first floors. Downstairs, a single open-plan space combines living, dining and kitchen, with windows framing views across the water. A woodburner warms the sitting area; the kitchen is equipped for self-catering. The main bedroom, on the ground floor with a king bed, has its own shower room. Upstairs, the second bedroom holds a super king and a child's single bed, with an ensuite shower. One dog stays free. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen and wifi—are included, and you'll find a welcome pack and dog treats in the kitchen. There are lawned gardens front and back with seating and a barbecue, plus parking for four cars. No smoking indoors.
Castles at Dunure, Turnberry and Greenan dot the countryside inland. Culzean Castle, a dramatic clifftop house designed by Robert Adam, and Dumfries House, a Georgian pile with woodland estate walks, are both within reach. Boat trips from Girvan harbour leave for Ailsa Craig to watch nesting birds.
