The Cottage

This single-storey cottage stands within the owner's grounds in Girvan, South Ayrshire, a two-minute walk from the beach and promenade. Everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space, a kitchen with electric cooking, one double bedroom, and a bathroom with bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all included.

The location puts you yards from sandy beach and the Ayrshire Coastal Path, which runs the length of the coast for walking or cycling. Girvan itself has shops, restaurants and a leisure centre with a swimming pool, children's play area and harbour. Nearby are Culzean Castle (dramatically sited on cliffs), the 18th-century Dumfries House and its estate, and Turnberry Resort. The islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute are within reach for a day trip, as are Ayr, Prestwick and Troon. Good rail connections lead to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

There is on-road parking and a bike store. A shared patio with garden furniture sits to the front. Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
