South Ayrshire

Yonderton McGill Cottage sits on a sheep farm with 200 acres of natural grounds and woodland to explore. The whole property is yours alone, sleeping six across three bedrooms—two kingsize and two singles—with one bathroom plus a separate toilet. The ground floor is open plan: living space with a woodburner and 42-inch TV, dining area, and a kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and everything else needed to cook. There's also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra charge (others must be kept on leads, as this is an active farm).
Salmon and trout fishing is available on the property between March and October. The grounds have a lawned garden with a decked area and seating, and you can store bikes here. Parking for three cars is on site. Essentials like heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, and you arrive after 4pm with your own welcome pack waiting.
The countryside location is deceptive—Ayr is fifteen minutes away by car, with restaurants serving local produce and a number of highly regarded golf courses within easy reach. Glasgow is fifty minutes away. An unfenced river runs through the grounds about half a mile from the cottage.
