I have recently cancelled my membership[ as my experience at Waddon has been so poor. I once could not attend my swim session , so I courteously cancelled sop that someone else can use the space. IU was slapped with a bill !! A cancellation fee was sent to me .Cancellation FEE? I had not wasted anyone's time and there was no financial loss to the centre as the pool is already there, I did not pay this and did not pay this complete nonsense. . During another session , there were not enough lanes open for the amount of swimmers -something that happens all the time. The lanes were over crowded so it was not a safe environment, I politely asked if another lane can be opened ,. The staff did not like this at all, as it creates work for them - they do not like this at all . A large man stood over me with s stick , making me feel bullied and intimidated ..I was accused of shouting - I was not , its was a noisy environment and I was just trying to make myself heard. Staff kept standing over me with the stick telling me 'I only want to get my way' as if wanting my safety was something I'm not entitled as woman. I was told the reason that they were not opening another lane was because the school was paying for half the pool. Fine, but the other half was for paying members using lanes, of which there were not enough. They kept refusing to open another lane, but I was obliged to insist and insist , arguing with the man and his stick . They eventually , when I asked to speak to a manager , opened another lane , which was not hard to do. Its absolutely disgusting how lazy and unhelpful the staff at Waddon are. They have also decided that you are not allowed to use training flippers and beathing aids it the pool . Why this is , only they can know , Int he year that I was using 2 other pools , this was not a problem , but at Waddon for some ghostly reason it is . My experience at Waddon has been oveall poor . I had used the online form to complain , this was more than two months ago and I never got a reply - no surprises. As Waddon has chosen to prioritize the school over other paying members I hope they can recoup all their costs from this , as I have cancelled my membership due to them . Better Health claims to support mental health , they have not done this , in fact , my experience at Waddon has had a negative impact on my mental health and I would suggest to anyone to stay away frm Better Health and especially Waddon center I suffer from Scoliosis , which is now worse as I cannot use any facility safely .But who cares about an old woman ? My mental health has suffered due to the bullying and intimidation at Waddon and the Centres ignoring my complaints . Overall lately you have made my conditions worse , despite your claims of health and wellbeing

I have been a member of this gym for a year and a half, the staff there are very friendly, I wanted to thank for the reception Vanessa's excellent customer service, she is incredibly kind and helpful. I would also like to mention the lifeguard Connor , who was very friendly and welcoming, It's always nice to be greeted by staff who are approachable and professional. Thank you to the whole team for creating such a positive and welcoming environment. Your excellent customer service is greatly appreciated!

Overall; ok but could do better. Staff; friendly and helpful Lockers; £1 coin but you get it back. Swimming Lanes; (at 8pm) quiet and well organised. Cleanliness; above average, smelt clean, good efforts observed to keep it clean. Showers; absolutely ice cold. Tried three different ones, waited couple minutes for each, all stone cold. Struggled to shower off without shivering, rushed to dry. Parking; why do I need to pay for parking?! Why do I need to register with a third party company with my email, phone number and other personal details to go for a swim to improve my health?! And £1.60 in a 90% empty carpark in the evening?! Took the first 10minutes of my arrival to pay for this parking! So, docked two stars for the above two reasons, essentially bringing the cost of a single swim to £8.74. bonkers expensive.

This is a review based primarily on the gym, I had a look round the faculty looks a nice pool 25m and I think a teaching pool, good size sports hall, kids playing area so good family facility. The gym was really clean space with good lighting, good selection of dumbbells, for a technogym good variety of machines plate loaded leg press, chest press, pulldown and row. Good range of fixed machines good cardio options. Also functional training area.
