South Gloucestershire's position between Bristol and Bath makes it ideal for exploring both cities and the surrounding countryside. West Barn, a converted property in Wick, offers space for large groups: the main house contains five bedrooms and a games room with pool table, while a separate annexe adds a sixth bedroom. A total of 23 guests can be accommodated across the two spaces, each with its own kitchen and living areas. The main house has three bathrooms; the annexe has a shower room. One well-behaved pet stays free.

The property comes with two hot tubs for six people each, a garden with sitting-out areas, firepit and barbecue, and parking for six cars on site. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The kitchen is equipped for group cooking with electric ovens, hobs, dishwashers and full-size fridges. No smoking is permitted throughout.

Within a few miles are the film-location villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. Bath lies seven miles away, with its Georgian architecture and thermal spa. Arrival is after 3pm and departure before 11am.

Lovely place for a hen or stag do

Visited here in October 2021 for my daughter's Hen Weekend. Although we enjoyed the weekend the 2 hot tubs were freezing. We did ask for them to be sorted but they never got any warmer. The ice make in the fridge did not work which was annoying too. Also the cabin had rat droppings on the pillows of the bed and on the bed so we were not able to use the cabin we were advised to just change the sheets but no one wanted to sleep with rats!
