I am rating it 3 Star solely on the basis of checkin. We arrived at 6:30 PM. Reception was closed. The host left the key outside reception in an envelope with direction to room written on it. However the property was so dark that “The Barn” was hidden in dark and we could not see which is our property for 30 mins. Tried calling the host on phone but no pickup even after the bell rang. I called 4-5 times directly and via booking.com both. Then i messaged on booking.com. The host called after 30 mins and we had to wait. Rest, the property was very clean and breakfast was good.

Stayed bed and breakfast, room was in the converted barn, real farm feeling. Location is picturesque, outside of bath, not far from the Lansdown park&ride. Beautiful views across the countryside. Owners and staff are lovely, nothing too much trouble. Great breakfast, sets up for a days outing.

We recently stayed at Toghill Farm House ahead of attending a wedding nearby at Hamswell House. Despite arriving quite late into the evening, Laura warmly welcomed us. Our room was spacious and cosy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was generous and we enjoyed walking around the farm and into the woods. Highly recommend.
