Laurel Cottage

Laurel Cottage is a 14th-century thatched property that retains original character throughout. It sits 200 yards from Stoke Gabriel's quayside in the heart of the village, wrapped in wisteria with gardens front and rear. The cottage is Grade II listed and throughout you'll find oak-effect tiling, period details, and two bedrooms separated across the first floor: one with a king-size bed and ensuite, the other with twin single beds and a shared bathroom. The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a wood-burner and Smart TV, plus a kitchen with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine opening onto a patio.

The enclosed garden has a lawn and patio with furniture and a BBQ, though there are steps within the garden. You have Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels included; heating is gas-fired. One dog is welcome. Parking is available at the quayside public car park 200 yards away, and there's also free parking when using the nearby Church house pub.

The village itself has two pubs, a riverside bistro and a stores. Totnes, 4 miles away, is known for independent shops and a farmers market. The coast and resorts like Torquay and Brixham are within easy reach, and Dartmouth lies 9 miles away. No smoking indoors.
