Ground floor space combines kitchen, dining area, and living room with a woodburner and a sofa bed; a kingsize bed sits behind a curtain in the same open area. Upstairs, a games room holds another double bed plus books, games and an Xbox. The shower room and toilet are downstairs. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are provided, along with wifi and private parking for one car. A gazebo and garden furniture sit outside; the garden itself is part of the appeal here rather than manicured grounds.

The spiral staircase between levels is steep and narrow. Four guests maximum, and smoking is not permitted. Oak Tree Lodge suits families or groups after low-key time in farmland rather than a polished village setting.
