Quail Cottage

South Hams draws families for its beaches, market towns and coastal walks. Quail Cottage sits within this region as a practical base for a few days away. It's a whole property to yourself, spread across three floors with a kitchen, dining and living room on the ground floor where the Freeview TV and Blu-ray player serve as backup entertainment on quieter evenings. Two single beds occupy the first floor, alongside a bathroom with bath and shower. The master bedroom on the second floor has a kingsize bed and its own ensuite shower room.

The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are provided. You'll have private parking for two cars and access to a shared garden with seating. One pet is welcome. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine mean you can eat in or do laundry during your stay. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Kingsbridge is the nearest market town. The estuary has water sports on offer, and Bantham Beach is a short drive; Burgh Island, reached by sea tractor, is another local draw. This cottage works well for families who want to combine coastal time with countryside quiet.
