The Black Barn

Families and larger groups will find The Black Barn works well for a shared holiday. The five bedrooms—a super kingsize, a kingsize, three doubles—are spread across two floors, each with an ensuite or nearby shower room. The house sleeps 10 and you have it entirely to yourselves. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.

The open-plan kitchen and dining space has two ovens and a full range of appliances for cooking proper meals. Beyond that sits a games room, a private gym, a cinema room with a projector screen, and access to a large enclosed garden with a hot tub, putting green, patio and barbecue. There is an unfenced pond in the garden and two steps up to the hot tub decking. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are all included; logs for the woodburner too.

The property stands on a quiet rural lane in Marldon, South Devon. Paignton and its beaches are a ten-minute drive away. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. The house does not permit smoking.
