What visitors say
This is more a dedication to all lives lost during WW2! Thank you again Scotland for allowing free access to these amazing Museums. The shop and staff very helpful, I had a good spend but I was a bit late for the cafe, the Museum is easy to navigate also for wheelchair access there is plenty parking with views over Scapa Flow.IMO no trip anywhere in Scotland that offers you to get to grips with Modern or Historical facts are well worth your time and effort!

Scapa Flow has such an interesting naval history and we are fortunate to have such a great museum to retain that history. The museum is part of the original WWII installations on Lyness. A short ferry ride from Houton which is accessible by bus or car. The museum is modern and there is a good cafe. The museum is free but please give a donation to preserve a piece of the world's heritage.

Really enjoyed it here. Cannot believe it is free!! The staff were so helpful & friendly. They were very knowledgeable & informative. We must mention the lad who was on his own in the cafe, when a lot of us all arrived off the ferry at the same time. He coped very well & kept smiling throughout.

The museum is really excellent. We spent 2 hours here and I wish we had planned our day better with the ferry times. I could have spent so much longer. I really enjoyed learning about Scapa flow history with both world wars. All of the information is set out so well and was very informative. The experience was great could t recommend highly enough. The cafe was great also had a lovely coffee and cake :)
