Nice hotel just 5 minutes from the seafront. Public areas of hotel and our room were spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice seating area where you could read or relax in front of the tv if that’s your thing. Breakfast in the hotel coffee shop was fantastic- highly recommended! Great service too from Chris. Only small issues we had was our room lights and bathroom extractor fan fused on our first morning. We mentioned this to Chris at breakfast but he must have forgotten (he was very busy), because they were still not working when we came back later that evening. There were a few table lamps in our room so it wasn’t a huge problem. Also the weather was very warm when we visited and we had to leave the windows open overnight and there was a lot of noise from the street which disturbed our sleep particularly on the Sunday night. We didn’t get breakfast on the Monday morning as the coffee shop was closed when we went down at about 7:15 - guest information folder in bedroom said breakfast was 7 - 9 on weekdays except for public holidays which I didn’t think Monday was? Maybe this could have been clearer? Overall though, we had a good stay and our small issues aside, we would be happy to recommend The Clifton! P.S. There’s plenty of free on street parking at the front of the hotel and nearby in surrounding streets. 😊

This was our second stay at the Clifton. we chose it because it is a family run business which puts the customer first. It is within walking distance of the centre of the town and the wonderful seafront and a the street offers an amazing variety of places to eat. The rooms are beautifully decorated, fully serviced and spotless. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food exceptional!

We had a one night stay with our dogs and it was fantastic. The lunch and breakfast were very tasty and our room was spacious and comfortable.... and beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful too. Highly recommended!

Amazing it's half way to centre and the coast. Beautiful decor and delicious gluten free breakfast highly recommend. I couldn't eat it all , it was that good! Rather than it being down to the owners I felt the bed for my chronic pain was a little uncomfortable so next time I will book a bigger room. Everything was perfect. Staff very attentive, clean tidy environment. They have one room downstairs and the rest are up and no keys it's a code to get to get in the room they write it down on your receipt. Thanks again will be back and book direct next time. They also have a library room which is on the pics
