The hotel was in a convenient lication for our stay but was expecting more than we got for a 4* Although the staff were friendly and helpful we did have to ask twice for fresh milk. The room was large enough and the bed was comfortable but it looked like it could do with a freshen up. We've stayed at 4* hotels before and had a coffee machine. kettle and bottled water in the room which we were expecting. There were false eyelashes on the bedside table and the bathroom has stained grouting and mastic. There were not enough plug sockets that could be used. The carpet in the dining room was worn in places and some of the furniture in the lobby had seen better days. It looks like a refurb is overdue. The buffet breakfast selection was limited and the hot food was not kept hot just displayed in covered terines and the cold offering was not on any ice or cold plates. The cooked meats, cheeses and pasteries were open on a tray and the cereals and fruits were in open bowls. The yogurt was not kept on ice. It would have been nicer if the food had been served in a more appetising way. My husband uses a walking stick. I requested a room that was not too far from the amenities when I booked and was put in the furthest room on the upper floor. I feel this hotel only has a 4* because it has spa facilities not because it is a luxurious place to stay.

Reception was great despite a hugely long journey being held up by a prom being held at the hotel that caused absolute carnage on the roads surrounding the hotel. The room was adequate. Nice touch with the takeaway cups for the morning. Not seen in many hotels. My biggest disappointment came in the sports bar. 1 poor guy on the bar. I waited 25 minutes to be served after 4 customers ordered teas and coffees to be told he was waiting for pint glasses. I ordered my pint of peroni which was served in a warm grolsch glass. I can deal with that but £7.70! Really??? I don't mind paying a premium price if the service is good, the product is good and is served in a timely manner but that is ridiculous. No discredit to the guy on the bar but the price isn't warranted. Having run bars and hotels my whole career I understand the difficulties the hospitality industry is under, but this was a push too far! London prices for a substandard product

The room is spacious and it has AC which helps massively in this hot weather. However, there are quite a few points I would like to mention. After we checked in, the reception lady seemed to forgot to mention where our room is and we were left exploring the place until we asked another lady to point us out the direction of our room. When we got to our room, we were happy with the size but the cleanliness of the room is quite disappointing. First, we found a ball of hair on the floor next to the bed, then the toilet is the most disappointing part. In the shower, the shower gel is empty. By the basin there is hand soap but the presser part is really dirty. The bottom part of the shower door is dirty as well. Other than that, everything else was ok. The only positive thing that I can think of is the AC in the room is amazing!

We were greeted by friendly receptionists who were very helpful in guidance for choosing treatments. All the staff we met were very friendly and therapist Ellie was great. All facilities were great and clean. If there was any negative, it would be the changing rooms. The changing area was close to the lockers, so people were changing close to lockers we needed to access. I had read reviews beforehand that food wasn't great, but I was pleasantly surprised. A very relaxing day and felt all the staff being so friendly and efficient made us feel so welcome. Would definitely return.
