About Polygon Villas Guest House - B&B
Rooms at Polygon Villas Guest House are kept plain and functional, each fitted with a flat-screen TV, and most sharing bathroom facilities rather than offering en-suites. It's a straightforward, unpretentious set-up across 13 rooms, suited to guests who want a bed and basics rather than frills, with air conditioning and free WiFi included throughout.
Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for guests who'd rather not venture out in the evening. The property also has a garden, a gym, and laundry and luggage storage services, along with concierge and porter support. Those arriving by car benefit from free on-site parking, plus valet parking and an electric vehicle charge point. It has also been used as a wedding venue for those wanting an informal setting nearby.
The Polygon sits within reach of Southampton's pubs, restaurants and other eateries, making it easy to eat out or find entertainment close by. It's a practical base for exploring the city rather than a destination in its own right, with the simplicity of the rooms reflected in the overall guest experience.
What guests say
They cancelled my booking 2 weeks before and had the cheek to tell booking.com I had cancelled! When challenged they said it was maintenance issues, but as it was a Saturday night with a big gig on in the city centre, it was almost certainly that they could put the price up! I wouldn't trust them to honour a booking.

If all you're looking for is a place to spend the night, this will do it quite well. The toilets and showers are communal and the rooms aren't "designer" per se, but the beds are comfortable and the rates are good. It's also in a great location in the town centre, with around a 10 minute walk to get to the city centre. For me, it had everything I needed, and is a great alternative to a hostel if you find they're all booked (as I did). Overall would recommend as long as you're not expecting too much in terms of looks! (The room I booked was a "family room" which had a single bed and a double bed, good for sharing between a small family or some mates if you don't mind getting cosy).

Brand new manager Erica is absoluty FANTASTIC! She went out of her way for me! She has just taken over management of the Polygon, & as people wrote in previous reviews, place was not so nice with lots of rif raff so she is working extremely hard to clean it up & make it special. Must advise though place is large & many floors with no elevator. Rooms are basic & none of them have complete ensuite bathrooms. The are sinks in the rooms at least in mine and some also have a shower but none have toilets. Check in is only till 9pm, so make sure to check no later. Overall, not bad for the money!
