About Dukes Folly Hotel
Families after a relaxed seaside break and couples looking for a bit of Victorian character will both find something to like at Dukes Folly Hotel on Duke Street in Southport. The building's period style comes through in rooms that are individually decorated rather than uniform, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, along with kids' meals on request.
A cooked breakfast is included, and the on-site restaurant and relaxed bar give guests options for the rest of the day without needing to leave the building, with outdoor seating in the garden for warmer weather. There's a lift for easier access, drinks can be brought to the room, and the hotel also handles weddings, with a bridal suite and meeting rooms for business visitors or events.
The location puts guests close to Southport's pier, Lord Street, and Marine Lake, with pubs, restaurants, and entertainment nearby for evenings out, plus golf and fishing within reach for those wanting to fill the day differently. It's a straightforward base for exploring the town rather than a destination in itself.

What guests say
We recently stayed at Dukes Folly Hotel and had a lovely experience from start to finish. The hotel offers a cooked breakfast at an additional fee during weekends and bank holidays, while a continental breakfast is included in the room price every morning. Although we didn’t go down for breakfast ourselves, it was nice to have the option available. Our room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable throughout the stay. The highlight for us was definitely the beautiful 4 poster bed, which was incredibly comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel itself has a welcoming atmosphere and offers excellent value for money compared to many other places we’ve stayed. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and were impressed with both the comfort and affordability. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to stay again on the 6th June and are really looking forward to returning!

First time back to town for 4 years for a 2-night trip & apart from breakfast being served a little too late for me (delicious though) it was hassle free & they were very accommodating with my requests for a small heater as it was bit cold this week. Definitely recommend for basic comforts and value with a bar & restaurant and outside terrace that is lovely in the spring☀️
